An Arts Manager, Writer and Consultant.

A supremely talented, articulate, experienced and creative & cultural practitioner whose skills span curating, writing, research and fashion journalism to name just a few. A valued associate in the sphere of culture and creativity, I have known Shaun professionally for more than two decades.
We share a common purpose which is creating platforms for the visibility of voices in culture and society from communities that need to be heard authentically through their own voice and lens. Shaun is a positive force and advocate for the Black Queer community, creating space for the stories of this under represented community to be shared and heard - strategically in order to catalyse systemic revolutionary change that respects their critical contribution to the fabric of British cultural life.
He also importantly places his focus on wellbeing and mental health support of the Black Queer community to bring attention to their needs that seem to fly under the radar.
In my tenure as a Changemaker for the Design Museum, I had the opportunity to commission Shaun to evaluate a programme / series of events that I curated to explore Belonging in cultural spaces like the Design Museum to promote inclusion. Shaun's approach to the brief was confident, fluid, and critically discerning.
Shaun is an asset to any team with his professionalism, creativity, cultural knowledge, empathy and invaluable lived experience.

I worked with Shaun at the Community Association for West Hampstead where he led on an important project working with isolated older men.
I found Shaun to be an excellent project manager with high attention to detail, proficient problem-solving skills, and adept at communicating his ideas and solutions as well as learning and listening to other points of view.
Shaun employs his creativity from the inception of a project to development and implementation, ensuring high standards and good quality results. He has a very good understanding of compliance, including health and safety, access, and equality. Shaun’s personable approach ensured that participants were engaged with sensitively, with an understanding of their needs and aspirations.

I have had the pleasure of observing Shaun’s project management skills first-hand. His successful Three Brixton Stories |2 event allowed me to witness his high degree of planning, promotional skills, strong interpersonal abilities, impressive level of research, enthusiasm, calmness under pressure and overall level of professionalism throughout.
Shaun has also contributed towards the improvement of the quality of West Euston Partnership’s services by attending its focus groups, which gives users the opportunity to provide feedback on their engagement so far.
Shaun’s input and his willingness to continue to contributing throughout has proven extremely valuable. Knowing how he also places importance on evaluation and feedback, I believe he will ensure any project or endeavour he is part of will lead to best practice and a uniquely tuned in vision.
